Positivity is a powerful thing. And when it comes to a pandemic, we can all use a little extra positivity!

Thursday | April 30, 2020

Our residence communities have experienced such an outpouring of love, support, and kindness over the past weeks from family, friends, and even strangers; it’s been truly incredible. Despite the changes and challenges we’ve seen with the global pandemic, our residents’ resiliency has shone through with tremendous hope, strength, and creativity. We’re so proud to see how our residents, teams, and partners have come together to find new ways to fill days with health and happiness.

We wanted to share an update here with you of the recent goings-on at our residences – Callingwood Downs, Clarenville Retirement Centre, and Westmount Estates – to hopefully bring a smile to your face and a little extra happiness to you heart. ❤️

Keeping loved ones connected.

We understand how hard it is for families to be apart. Once visiting restrictions were put it place, we knew we had to get creative to keep our residents connected to their loved ones…and that’s where video visits came in!

Family and friends can now schedule some virtual facetime with their loved one. The Video Visits Program has been such an amazing addition to our every day routine! If you’d like to schedule a video visit, please contact your residence directly.

Celebrating Life at Clarenville Retirement Centre

A pandemic can’t stop Clarenville Retirement Centre (CRC) from celebrating birthdays and living life to the fullest (while being safe, of course!). The CRC has certainly embraced the current change to their daily routine and implemented innovative and interactive ways to stay busy and have fun (SO much fun!)

Awesome Activities at Westmount Estates

From playing music, to planting flowers in the sunroom, to finishing our biggest puzzles yet – there’s never a dull day at Westmount Estates. Residents and staff have had to adapt their usual activities but still do the things they love every day – whether that’s trying their hand at something new or having fun doing something they’re ‘an old hand’ at!
